Professional Conduct Rulings

Complaints Counsel, Law Society of Saskatchewan

Recent Professional Conduct Rulings are now available in Volume 28, Issue No. 1 of the Bencher’s Digest. Previous Professional Conduct rulings rendered by the Law Society of Saskatchewan Ethics Committee are available online in a searchable database. The Committee makes rulings which apply the Code of Conduct and the Rules to specific fact situations involving lawyers and are published anonymously as guidance for the profession. The Committee reviews requests for rulings by the members as well as complaints brought forward by the public that do not appear to raise conduct issues but rather “grey area” ethical issues that require discussion. For the sake of clarity, Professional Conduct Rulings will in the future be referred to simply as “Ethics Rulings”.
