Saskatchewan Multicultural Week is celebrated annually in the third week of November.  The event, hosted by the Multicultural Council of Saskatchewan (MCOS), is intended to foster “multiculturalism in the economic, cultural and political life of Saskatchewan while working to achieve equality of all residents.”  The theme of this year is: Who is your multicultural superhero and why?

The event also marks the 42nd anniversary of The Saskatchewan Multicultural Act.  In 1974, Saskatchewan became the first province in Canada to pass multicultural legislation.

Please join the Law Society Library in celebrating this important event.  Take a moment to reflect on diversity in Saskatchewan’s legal profession and consider what you can do to promote multiculturalism in our province.
