The Government of Saskatchewan recently released a reminder from the Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority of Saskatchewan (FCAA) and the Saskatchewan Real Estate Commission about the obligations and responsibilities of real estate agents. The reminder included:

  • Agents must take steps to ensure disclosure of all material facts relating to property up front;
  • Agents must present all written offers in a prompt, objective and unbiased manner;
  • All real estate agents must be registered with the Saskatchewan Real Estate Commission; and
  • If members of the public have questions, concerns, or complaints about a real estate transaction or an agent they should contact the Commission.
