Day: October 20, 2015
Feeling stressed, anxious and depressed? Want to know more about mental health issues, ways of eliminating the stigma that exists in the legal profession and how you can help build a culture of wellness?
The CBA has partnered with Bell Let’s Talk and the Mood Disorders Society of Canada to develop Mental Health and Wellness in the Legal Profession, an online course aimed at members of the legal community to raise awareness of these issues; help you understand the nature of depression and mental illness – what can trigger it, and its effects on the body and mind; and provide you with resources for prevention and treatment.
The course is free and confidential. It is accredited by all of the provincial law societies, including Saskatchewan, for up to 6 hours of professional development.
It’s a source of reliable information both for those who think they have a problem, and those who need or want to expand their knowledge in order to be able to identify issues when they arise.
