Are you having difficulty locating case law from the UK and not sure where to turn for help?  If so, ask a librarian from the Law Society of Saskatchewan Library for assistance.  Our Regina branch recently subscribed to ICLR Online, a popular UK case law database.

ICLR (the Incorporated Council of Law Reporting) is the official publisher of the Law Reports for the Superior and Appellate Courts of England and Wales.  ICLR Online contains all of the case law and law reports published by ICLR from 1865 to the present including The Law Reports and The Weekly Law Reports.  Like CanLII, ICLR is a not-for-profit organization.

ICLR Online is described in more detail on the ICLR website:

ICLR Online is the hub of legal authorities dating back to 1865. A dedicated case law platform presenting the cases that matter in a comprehensive and readable format. We combine our law reports with our powerful Citator+ index cards to present all the relevant case information in one screen, making legal research easier than ever, and ICLR judgments are triple checked for accuracy and presented with absolute clarity.

If you are searching for a UK case and require any assistance, please contact the Law Society Library at reference@lawsociety.sk.ca or 306-569-8020.  We would be happy to search the database on your behalf to locate case law and to provide any other legal research services that you may require.
