In honour of the National Library Week, Book Riot rounded up 9 great songs that are about libraries, librarians and books. These are songs from musicals, television, or from bands/singers. The post also includes a link to parodies done by librarians in support of libraries. Enjoy!

Are you looking for a refresher on basic legal research skills or a convenient guide to key secondary sources?  Consider taking a moment to visit Legalresearchandwriting.ca.

Legal Research and Writing is a helpful website created by Ted Tjaden.  Tjaden is a lawyer with Gowling Lafleur Henderson LLP, the author of Irwin Law’s Legal Research and Writing, and an authority in the legal librarianship field.

His website identifies and describes:

  • Important secondary law sources such as law journals, encyclopaedias, and reference tools
  • Key case law resources for Canada and foreign jurisdictions
  • Legislation resources for Canada and some foreign jurisdictions
  • Legal citation resources
  • How to effectively teach legal research and writing skills to others.

If you would like a review of any of these skills or resources, Tjaden’s Legal Research and Writing website should be your first stop.
